AM5728: USB Hub connections

Hi, I'm trying to design a custom board. I want to direct connect TUSB8041 and TUSB4041 Hubs to AM5728, My question is about PMIC_VBUS and PMIC_VBUS_Detect signals on PMIC and VBUS_Detect signal on AM5728, How should I connect these signals? Leaving them unconnected in OK?

Thanks but the USB section is not complete on that page.
According to the EVM schematic, we use one USB3.0 HUB and we connect USB1_DRVVBUS from AM5728 through a resistor divider to TUSB8041 USB_VBUS pin. This is the case for USB1 module.
Now for USB2 module we use TUSB4041I HUB, we connect USB2_DRVVBUS signal from AM5728 to USB_VBUS pin on TUSB4041I but there some other signals need to be determined where to connect:
VBUS_DET on AM5728
PMIC_VBUS_DET on TPS659037
USB2_VBUS on TPS659037
There is also USB2_OC that I think I should left it unconnected or pull it up.

Hello Aidin,
VBUS_DET is typically connected to a AM572x GPIO, but is only required when the SoC is operating in DRD or Device mode. In your case, you appear to be operating both USB ports in USB Host mode exclusively so VBUS_DET isn't required.

We don't support the PMIC devices in this forum, so I'm afraid I can't answer your related questions. Please post these in the PMIC forum.

So anybody here to suggest the connection of the following signals in case of using USB Hub?

PMIC_VBUS_DET on TPS659037 (Ball C3)
USB2_VBUS on TPS659037 (Ball D8)

Hi,

Are you asking what to do with these pins if you do not need VBUS?

If you are not using these pins, VBUS (D8) can be grounded and VBUSDET/GPIO1 (C13) can be left floating.

I am asking what to do with these pins in case of using USB HUB. I guess HUB chip will do all the power managements so these pins on TPS659037 would be no used. Correct?

Based on the schematic checklist and earlier posts in this thread, I believe you are correct. These pins are not used.
