  • Hi Lian,

Before we have our engineer review the schematic I notice you're designing a flyback converter with a forward transformer. Can you confirm what your input voltage range, output voltage, output current, and efficiency specs are? We can probably recommend an optimized PD solution for you.
  • It's a flyback,The input voltage range is 42.5v-57v,Input maximum current 600mA,The output voltage is 12v,Output current is 2A,The transformer turn ratio chosen is 1.77: 1So the duty cycle of the chip is between 37 and 50 percent,In terms of this schematic diagram, there should be no problem. The details need TI's help.
  • Hi User,

If that is the case please see my comments below:

D7 is backwards (cathode needs to be on RTN)
May consider using a faster diode D5 like MMSD4148
For U2, you may consider the A-version CTR
C33 looks quite low. 1uF would be recommended to start.
For bob smith terminations, 10nF is recommended and there needs to be an HV cap to chassis ground.

If looking for a known working design for you specifications, I recommend looking at the TI designs below:
    PMP11254 which uses the TPS23751
    PMP6812 which uses the TPS23754

Note the TPS23756 is mainly designed for wide input applications (12V inputs).
