LMZ31710: Light Lead Efficiency Threshold

When operating in LLE, the converter is in DCM mode. To understand the threshold to enter LLE, we need to find the equation for boundary current between DCM and CCM. Unfortunately the datasheet does not have this defined. However, we can use the LMZ23610 datasheet equation 13 as a way to calculate the DCM/CCM boundary current shown below:

Thanks for the quick response. In order to use the DCM/CCM question above we'll need the integrated inductor value of the LMZ31710... which I can't find in the datasheet. I see the LMZ23610 has a 2.2uH integrated, is this the same for the LMZ31710? Might be worth updating the LMZ317x datasheet.

Hi Jimmy,

A couple follow-up questions.

I just want to confirm that the LMZ31710 being used in the following conditions will result in the converter operating in pulse skipping mode, correct?
Vout: 1V
Vin: 14-18V
Fsw: 250kHz
Iout: 325mA

Also, does the LMZ31704 and LMZ31707 also use a 1uH internal inductor?
