TPS2420/about Iout max and Ifault max

Hi,

Could you tell me about Iout max and Ifault max?
Customer wants to know the setable maximum electric current to this device.
A following designs example is listed in a data sheet.
Is the recommended maximum Rflt=49.9kΩ and Rimax?

    I moved your post to the load switch forum for their input, but the answer is that 49.9kohm for Rfault and 40.2kohm for Rmax sets the maximum recommended operating current.

    The TPS2420  can support dual current limit thresholds Ifault and Imax. Load is allowed to draw current higher than Ifault and lower than Imax. Imax is the maximum current load is allowed to draw at any point of time.

    If the load current exceeds Ifault, the device detects it as fault and starts the CT timer. If the load current decreases (case-2) before CT voltage ramps to 1.4V, the device comes out of fault mode and discharges the CT capacitor. If the load current does not decrease (case-1) before  CT voltage ramps to 1.4V, the device turns off the internal MOSFET and discharges the CT cap.

    For Rfault=49.9k, recommended Rimax is 40.2k
