TPS22965-Q1: Rise time at Vbias=3.3V

Part Number: TPS22965-Q1

Hi,

We got a question from the customer about TPS22965-Q1.
Could you help us?

[Question]
They refered to other thread, and calculated the rise time at Vbias=Vin=3.3V by SR=.775 (CT)+107.41. So they have questions.

e2e.ti.com/.../1796339

- How was the constant 0.775 and 107.41 determined? If using any data, could you provide this data?
- How much is the variation in the rise time?

Best Regards,
tateo

  • Hi Tateo,

For VBIAS=VIN=3.3V, we took the below data across temperature with three units. This should give a good idea of the variation expected with these devices.

    CT Capacitor (pF) tR (us)
    Min Typ Max
    0 199 216 256
    220 585 636 713
    470 1007 1097 1237
    1000 1627 1777 2277
    2200 3747 4593 5073
    4700 7833 9610 11367
    10000 16033 20100 22667

Typical data was taken at 25C, minimum was observed at 125C, and maximum at -40C.

    Thanks,

    Alek Kaknevicius

  • Hi, Thank you for your support. Let me confirm one thing. How much is the variation in the rise time? Your data is based on three units. They want to make sure how much they should consider the variation in the warst case.

  • Hi Tateo,

We do not guarantee the maximum/minimum timing with our devices, only typical. The data across temperature should be a good indication of variation, but the customer could always add additional margin to their design.

For more information about timing variation, please refer to the app note below.
