Hello to one and all,

I've got a problem within a board including the TPS4H160B chip.

The recovery fault when an overcurrent appears is not effective (nFAULT stay low and the output stays low) and I don't understand why; can it be a design problem with CS signal which is connected to a µC ?

Hello,

Are you testing load step?

What is the current limit set?

What is the nominal current?

Is the INx controlled by the current sense?

Is the load completely disconnect after the overcurrent or goes back to nominal load?

Will you be able to send the schematic?

Fault may stay low if the overload triggers the temperature shutdown and INx is high and THER is high (latch off). In this case the INx should be toggeld for recovery.

The problem was that THERM pin was both pulled-up and pulled-down, it was a schematic mistake.
