Hello guys,
One of my customers is considering using AM4372BZDNA60 for their new products.
They have a question as the follow. Could you please give me your reply?
They are planning to design AM4372 power supply part using some 1ch buck DCDC devices
with reference to AM437X_INDUSTRIAL_EVM_3K0008_schematic_REV1_4A.pdf. I attached the schematic file.
In the file, some TPS5402s are used for AM437x power supplying.

But the device is a little bit old device and it is non synchronous DCDC. So they want to use TPS62902 or TPS628512 instead of TPS5402
because these devices release timing are newer than TPS5402 and these are synchronous DCDC device which contributes higher efficiency.

These devices have Enable pin, Output discharge and adjustable soft start time function.
Also their system input voltage range is 4.75V~5.25V.
Their question is the follow.
Q. Do you think these devices can be used as a power supply circuit for AM4372?
If your answer is no, could you please give me the reason?
