CCSTUDIO: In the serial terminal, ‘\n’ is not interpreted as expected (i.e. CRLF). Is there any solution to this problem?

Part Number: CCSTUDIO
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2650STK, CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG

I have been debugging some of Contiki-NG examples using CC2650STK (www.ti.com/.../CC2650STK) and CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG (www.ti.com/.../CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG) under Code Composer Studio. I have encountered a problem with the serial terminal, wherein ‘\n’ is not interpreted as expected. What I see in the terminal is like:

        Starting Contiki-NG...

                                           - Routing: RPL Lite

                                                                          - Net: sicslowpan

                                                                                                     - MAC: CSMA

I spent a significant time seeking a solution for this problem, but I have found no solution yet. There is one thread on TI’s website: “CCS/EVMK2H: Serial terminal in CCS 8.1.0 under Linux is not displaying newlines correctly”, which does not help to resolve the problem. When clicking the "Ask a related question" button on the relevant webpage, I see: “To post on TI E2E design support forums, you must have a valid company email address in your myTI account.”.

I have encountered this problem also in the latest version of CCS installed in both Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu 20.04.2.0. Could you please let me know if you have any idea to resolve this problem?

Thank you in advance.
