TMS320C6655: SRVnorm value

Part Number: TMS320C6655

Hi

I have additional question related to

     https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1005017/tms320c6655-voltage-value-of-cvdd

Are the value of SRVnorm which is described on the data sheet chapter5.3 for TMS320C6655.

and the value CVDD which is described at Table1 in https://www.ti.com/lit/an/sprabi2d/sprabi2d.pdf

same?

For example, it VID is programed with the value "0" after manufacturing tests,  recommended operating condition of CVDD for TMS320C6655 is

     min: 0.7 x 0.95

     nom: 0.85-1.1

     Max: 0.7 x 1.05

Is that correct?

Thanks and Best regards,

Tsurumoto.

  • Hi Tsurumto-san

SRVnom is the nominal Smart Reflex supply voltage that must be applied to the CVDD pins of the C6678 DSP during operation.  Yes, it is the value requested by the VID value presented on the VCNTL pins as discussed in the Hardware Design Guide for KeyStone-I Devices (SPRABI2).  Also, as stated elsewhere, the nominal initial voltage supplied to the CVDD pins prior to the VID value being provided must be 1.1V and it must transition to the SRVnom value immediately thereafter.

    Regards
