TMS320C6205: The differences between TMS32C and TMS320C devices.

Part Number: TMS320C6205

Hi champs,

According to datasheet, we have orderable devices of TMS32C6205 and TMS320C6205 devices.

My customer would like to know the difference between these two devices, what's the reason we have both TMS32C and TMS320C orderable part numbers?

I am going to assign this to a member of our hardware team to see if they have any insight in interpreting the datasheet.

Please note that the only knowledge source we have for this part is the collateral you can find on ti.com. We will help where we can, but if the customer is planning a new design we will be limited in the support we can offer since there is no EVM, etc for these parts.

I suspect this is a typo and should read the full TMS320C

the is a character limit on the part number and it looks like the "0" was dropped to accommodate the speed grade character (T).

Therefore TMS32C = TMS320C
