AM3358: AM3358 EVM (core) Erased NAND - need SD Card Image

Part Number: AM3358

Hello

Accidentally wrote Filesystem image to offset 0x0 of NAND of AM3358 EVM module. I am using custom board, this can only boot from NAND or micro SD card.

I have backup images on my pc, need to boot board from SD card in order to flash NAND.

Tried various beagle bone images but those images does not recognize NAND, ethernet (Atheros chip). and watchdog (need to reset watchdog after booting or board hangs)

can some one point me to suitable sd card image which can be used to boot AM3358 EVM board to flash NAND or any other method to recover the board.

Thank You

Sudheer.

  • Hi Sudheer,
If your board is TI AM335x GP EVM, you may download Linux SDK, and re-flash NAND.
If your board is customer board, you'd need customer build image to re-flash NAND.

  • Board  is based on SBC8600B, it has same AM3358 core module.

    Machine: am335xevm

NAND read: device 0 offset 0x280000, size 0x500000
    5242880 bytes read: OK

    Image Name: Linux-3.2.0

Image Type: ARM Linux Kernel Image (uncompressed)
    Data Size: 3111120 Bytes = 3 MiB
    Load Address: 80008000
    Entry Point: 80008000

Was able to boot board with  image MarsBoard-AM335X-TF-3.5GB-Angstrom-HDMI-2015.06.20-v1.1.img , but  this image does not recognize NAND.

Trying to build u-boot using TI Am335x SDK, as this is new to me, prefer if some one has suitable u-boot sd card image, which can be used to flash nand.

I have original image file (.img) backup in sd card.

    Thank You.

  • Hi Sudheer,
It looks like SBC8600B board is one of early customer board introduced back in 2012.
You would need to get contact with the board vendor for further SW support.
    Best,
