TMS320DM368: What is difference between TMS320DM368ZCED and TMS320DM368ZCEDF?

Part Number: TMS320DM368

Hi,

My customer is using TMS320DM368ZCED for production.
Due to recent delivery problem, that part is difficult to get.
Customer found TMS320DM368ZCEDF is still available for order.

What is exact differences between these two part#?
Customer can use F variant without any changes in both HW and SW?

    Hello Tashiro-san,

    The devices share the same datasheet and the only difference seems to be the inclusion of a Face Detection module.

    They should be able to just use the TMS320DM368ZCEDF as a 'superset' variant. I did not see anything on memory map or pinout that indicated other differences.

    I would recommend they get a few devices to validate first just be certain as I don't have deep technical knowledge of these parts but it looks pretty clear that the F version just has one added feature.
