Hi Expert:
What the status of pins should be configured in pinmux , pull up、pill down or no pull? And then, what are their status based on?
For Example: The pins of MCU_OSPI, which was used for Flash, what the status of pins should be configured.

The data manual provides the default pull value and pull direction for each pin on the device. Each pin can be independently configured as needed for your design. If pins are left open/floating, it is recommended to enable the pull-down. The example provided (MCU_OSPI), the chip select pins are often pulled up to keep the interface inactive when not used. Clock signals are often pull-down, again to keep it inactive when not used.
Hi Robert:
Thank you for your reply.
I cannot find which part to descrice default pull value and pull direction on the data manual on datasheet and Technical Reference Manual:
Could you provide the link of data manual and tell me which part to descrice the value.
The data manual provides this information in table 6-1. (https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/tda4vm)
Below is one example: The 'Ball Reset State' column will have PU or PD if either is enabled by default.
I kown table 6-1.But there are three status of pin (pull down、pull up、no pull)can be choice in pinmux tool.
Table6-1 only shows what the 'Ball Reset State' column will have PU or PD.
As you have said 'If pins are left open/floating, it is recommended to enable the pull-down.' , If the pins are used, how I can kown
which status I should configura with pinmux tool in data manual?
Question "If the pins are used, how I can know which status I should configure with pinmux tool in data manual?"
If pins are used, I cannot help with which state you should set to the default value - as it is design dependent. If pins are unused, pins can be pulled up or pulled down - either is good. Just not floating.
Do 'no pull' means floting?
If pins are unused, some points consider pins should be configured ‘no pull’and output ‘0’.
No, 'no pull' does not mean float. 'No pull' means no pull-up or pull-down. Float means the pin is configured as input, and nothing is keeping the state of the pin at a specific level.
Having No pull and setting pin to output low would NOT be a floating condition, as the pin is held at a specific state.
Ok,I get it the unused pin can not be floating
1、If pins are unused ,is it also ok to do that ‘Having No pull and setting pin to output low, as the pin is held at a specific state’?
2、If pins are unused and I donot configura ( no pull by default in pinmux), which states whould they be ,is Module Pin Reset Value ?
If pins are unused,Can I not configura it with it and make it to be Module Pin Reset Value
In other word, I just do not configura it to be floating,Can I configura to any other status (Hiz,Ouput、PD/PU)?
If pins are unused in the design and floating, yes you can configure pin with software to be either and output or enable either PU or PD. This cause the unconnected pin to be NOT floating and is a valid configuration.
