AM5726: Regarding core.id

Part Number: AM5726
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSBIOS

Hi experts,

What is core.id used for?

There is information about what to do with interrupts on the secondary core without setting core.id.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1038362/am5726-run-ti-rtos-on-secondary-arm-cores-on-am5726

However, the link below states that I need to add a coreid to route interrupts to the secondary core.

http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/docs/latest/rtos/FAQ.html#ti-rtos

which one is correct? I am confused.

Best regards,
Sasaki

  • Hi,

As mentioned in the tagged thread, you can run the binary on A15_1 through CCS. However, if you want to configure it through .cfg file you can use the later method. Please refer the doc present at bios_X_XX_XX_XX/docs/cdoc/ti/sysbios/family/arm/ducati/Core.html for more information.

As mentioned in the tagged thread, bug is already raised. You can expect it to resolve in next release.

  • Hi AKASH-san,

    Thank you for your support.

    I understand it.
