Hi,
Now that Debian 9 (Stretch) is reaching it's end of life we would like to upgrade the kernel to Debian 10 or Debian 11. Is there any support for this with the dra746? (patches or general information).
Kind regards,
Lee

Hi Lee,
There is no plan for supporting this.

What is the recommeded approach for moving to a new Linux kernel? (e.g. 5.1)
Would this be more straight forward with Yocto?
Kind regards,
Lee
Lee,
DRA7 devices are already supported in the upstream kernel. You can definitely start the evaluation there.
However there are deltas that you can pick from previous Processor SDK release.
Migrating with Yocto should also work, this is something that you will have to try at your end.
