Customer is looking for alternative for TMS320C6678ACYP.

Could you pls provide the comparison about TMS320C6678ACYP and TMS320C6671ACYP for reference?

Or is there any better alternatives for C6678?

Ruixin,

1. As far as I know, TMS320C667X --> X denotes the number of C66x DSP cores.

If X is 1 -- > TMS320C6671 , It will have one C66x DSP core.

If X is 8 --> TMS320C6678, it will have 8 C66x DSP cores.

2. Usually, they will group the even series, such as C6672, C6674 and C6676 and C6678 as compatible parts.

3. Similarly, the odd series, C6671 etc.

May, the better alternative will be C6674 / C6672.

For other features and capability, please do compare the product folder of specific devices.

Customer now using is TMS320C6678ACYP and they managed to find alternative TMS320C6678ACYP25 without A.

I'd like to know what differences are in silicon rev. 1.0 and rev. 2.0 in TI DSP C6678. what is the potential issue to use Rev. 1.0 silicon?
