Aside from the booting differences on the two devices, are there any other details that explain the differences between the two chips?

We understand the booting is from DSP for OMAPL138EZWTA3E vs from ARM for OMAPL138EZWTA3, which will make redesign existing FW image for OMAPL138EZWTA3.

Can you please explain any other design implications needed to consider in order to transition from OMAPL138EZWTA3 to OMAPL138EZWTA3E?

The "E" designator at the end of the part number indicates the particular device has TI's Basic Secure Boot enabled. The initial description for this is provided in the OMAPL138 datasheet:

Hi Kyle,

This thread is for us. We are going to move from non-security chip to Security chip.

Our old binary is ARM binary in NOR flash, and in ARM application startup DSP.

As we move to security chip, what exactly binary change should we make?

Do you have a clear flow chart and step by step guide for this case?
