TMS320C6678: EDMA3 trigger

Part Number: TMS320C6678

Customer has a C6678 configured to use the Packet DMA of Multicore Navigator to send and receive Ethernet frames to/from the Network Coprocessor. They would like to start an EDMA3 channel as soon as one frame is received and handled by Packet DMA.
Is there a way to trigger the EDMA3 channel from Packet DMA with the "Packet DMA receive completion" even (without the CorePac's involvement)?

I think the above-mentioned Scenario is used in the CPPI example in Processor TI-RTOS SDK ( https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/C667x/latest/index_FDS.html ). Please have a look at this example and check whether it matches your requirement.

Meanwhile, Let me also analyze the same.

Hi Bernd,

I have checked for the possibility. In EDMA API, In the same Core without using the same instance, we can get the "receive completion" and attach it to the callback function.

Without CorePac's involvement, the only way is to use/configure GPIO Interrupts.
