AM5706: Boot Modes

Part Number: AM5706

Hi, In boot mode of AM5706 I found out that bootmode [13:10] describes the  GPMC interface configuration used in XIP, fast XIP and NAND modes. But I am not planning any GPMC boot modes in my board (I prefer a SPI/QSPI boot mode). So what can I do with this Pins? And what is the need for redundant SBL feature?

  • Hello.  This is a long-pending thread (sorry for the inconvenience).  Sysboot[13:10] pins can be used as one of their alternate muxed functions after porz reset is released.  The redundant SBL feature is an optional feature, which can be used in case there may be risk of SPI/QSPI memory corruption.
