Hi, I wonder other than using the PurePath Studio to program the TAS3204 graphically ... can I use the Code Composer Studio to program this chip?

Is there any guidance on doing so like:

1) The programming/debug cable required (model) for uploading the the compiled code

2) The CCS setup (compiler selection) for the TAS3204

3) Code examples

Which IC will be the successor IC to this TAS3204 (TAS3204 Not Recommended For New Design)?

Hi,

Sorry, we no longer provide technical support for this device on the e2e forum. You may search the forum archives for relevant questions and answers. With that said, by reading the device block diagram, I don't think CCS can support this device as there is no JTAG interface to it. I don't know how PurePath Studio work. Sorry for lack of guidance.

Hi Charles,

I just bought 2 pieces of TAS3204 ICs from Digikey. Since the chip is no longer supported technically at E2E forum can I ask for a favor from TI to send me replacement chip (I guess PCM3070) so that I can develop hardware based on this new IC?

Hi,

We don't handle returns or replacements in the e2e forum. For this type of questions you will need to go through TI customer service. However, you purchased from a 3rd party distributor and I don't know how much can be done by TI customer service. Please contact TI customer service and see what they can do. Sorry for lack of guidance.
