TDA4VM: "Test failed @ iteration 0 !!!" for MCU1_0 on executing "vx_app_arm_ipc.out" in PDK 8.2

Hi Team,

I tried to run "vx_app_arm_ipc.out" to run IPC_TEST between MCU1_0 and MPU1_0 but as a output I got the following --> "Test failed @ iteration 0 !!!".

I am attaching the entire log please suggest how to resolve the issue.

    Please refer the Software Issue Report ticket raised for this issue [EXT_EP-10522] Partial failure observed for IPC test when MCU1_0 is enabled due to secure mode boot - Software Issue Report (SIR)

    The issue is only with writing to a shared buffer shared between A72 and MCU1_0.
    Cache is not coherent between secure Linux on A72 and MCU1-0 which is causing this issue.
    Cache maintenance operations can be applied on the shared memory location to avoid this issue given that we are using secure mode in the SDK

    Please follow the below steps.

    1. In Linux SDK (PSDKLA) go to the path PSDKLA/board_support/linux-5.10.100+gitAUTOINC+7a7a3af903-g7a7a3af903/arch/arm64/boot/dts/ti/k3-j721e-rtos-memory-map.dtsi

    2. Add no-map to the region "vision_apps_shared_region" under reserved memory

    3. In terminal, generate .dtbo using below command in PSDKLA path
         
        make linux-dtbs

    4. Copy the generated k3-j721e-vision-apps.dtbo file to SD card (rootfs/boot)

    5. Run the demo on EVM.

    In summary, IPC communication between A72 and MCU1-0 using the shared DDR region can be enabled by disabling cache from A72.
    For Linux, this can be done by adding the no-map property to the vision_apps_shared_region.
