AM3354: Flashing bare-metal based application to eMMC through UART/Ethernet and booting app from eMMC.

Our RTOS/Bare-Metal software expert is out of office this week, but you can use UART/Ethernet boot mode and flash the application to eMMC using Uniflash tool - https://www.ti.com/tool/download/UNIFLASH/3.4.1. Please use version 3.4.1, I think this is the last known version which supports AM335x devices.

I have downloaded both uniflash tool and user guide. But, I could not see the eMMC boot through UART. I didn't see any eMMC memory selection, interface selection(UART/Ethrnet) in the uniflash tool GUI. Please share the document/references for the UART boot. I need more information on this.

Sorry for the late response. After consulted internally, it turns out that the TI RTOS SDK doesn't provide a method to flash eMMC on AM335x. So you probably have to develop your own eMMC flash tool to load either via JTAG or UART.

I have gone through the procedure described in the section 3.1. Board Support — Processor SDK RTOS Documentation . Liu, Please check and confirm that it will work or not for our design.

From the link you provided, I see that flashing eMMC is not supported on AM335x devices.

I think that table for EVM boards, not for specific processors. I have studied the processor data sheet, in the boot bin configuration they provided eMMC selection. 

Yes, eMMC boot is available for the SOC, but our tool/software doesn't support flashing eMMC. So as Bin mentioned earlier, you'll have to develop your own tool to flash eMMC.
