Hi e2e-team,
I am developing the linux tool to power down the system (TDA4) through software which will be running on A72. API's available to achieve this? Is there any sample code?
Setup: I am using psdk8.1
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Vadivel,
If intent is driving a Reset from the A72, the TISCI Reset API, TISCI PM System Reset API Documentation — TISCI User Guide, may be of interest to you.
If intent is to remove power from the TDA4 Device, then perhaps you're looking at I2C commands to a PMIC, or some other communication to PMIC, to let the PMIC know to power down the TDA4 device.

Thanks KB!
Please can you provide I2C command?
Is there System Power Management Interface(SPMI) protocol supported? document.
Is there any sample for these (TISCI-PM, I2C & SPMI)?

Vadivel
Hi,
Poweroff is currently not supported. So you will need to develop a PMIC driver to support I2C writes to power off the PMIC upon poweroff command
from Linux user space.

Thanks Keerthy! Is it reboot or restart is supported? Let me know what are things supported PMIC related? from linux user space (A72).

Thanks Keerthy! Is it possible to send(use) PMIC((TISCI-PM) related API's from R5F?
Thanks Keerthy! Is it possible to send(use) PMIC((TISCI-PM) related API's from R5F
Yes. R5F should have access to PMIC & there are PMIC APIs in PDK: pdk_jacinto_08_02_00_21/packages/ti/drv/pmic/src/cfg/
