TMS320C5515: TMS320C5515-The program is too large to compile

Part Number: TMS320C5515

Hi ti team,

After adding USB function to our product, the program is too large to compile. How to run a program using external SDRAM?

  • Hi,

The external SDRAM is connect to the DSP via EMIF, so before the DSP to access the SDRAM, you have to set up the EMIF for SDRAM first. The easy thing to do is to put only data or data buffers in the SDRAM. This way you do not need to set the EMIF during the bootloading. You program can set up the EMIF for SDRAM during the initialization. You can refer to the following example for EMIF settings for SDRAM: c55_csl\c55xx_csl\ccs_v6.x_examples\emif\CSL_EMIF_SDRAM_AddressTest_example.

    Best regards,

    Ming
