DM3730: DM3730 Supported eMMC Brand

Part Number: DM3730

Hi,

I would like to design in an eMMC for this processor. Is there a tested eMMC chip brand (such as Micron, Kingston, etc...) that I should use?

The pin out of different vendor is slightly different so I just want to make sure the DM3730 hardware is compatible to the eMMC chip.

Also, what is the maximum supported eMMC capacity? And do you have a reference design for eMMC? (Not reference design for MMC because the pin out is quite different).

Thanks.

Note: There is limited support for this device. ...

We don't have maintain recommendations on specific devices/vendors. You will need to compare the supported features/specifications detailed in the TRM agains thos of potential eMMC devices to check compatibility,

I do not se a restriction on card size. However, this device is over 10 years old and eMMC devices of that era were not a large as they are today and therefore they may be a restriction with newer devices.

I could not find any EVM designs that used eMMC. Designs such as Beagleboard-XM used MMC/SD cards.
