DRA821U: RTM version of DRA821U, Clarify the difference from the preview samples

Part Number: DRA821U

Hi

Customer would like to know the difference btw RTM version and below.

Can you please let us know if there're major changes from RTM version?

They would like to know what the following materials are different from the RTM version, and would like to use the RTM version or the one that is close to RTM version.

  • DRA821U4LGALM
  • XJ7200GBALM (Latest incoming materials)

Also let us know the orderable part number for DRA821U. What part# would be launched via ti.com?

Regards,

Jack

  • Hello Jack,

The XJ7200GBALM is Silicon Rev 2.0 and is  the same as the RTM device.

The DRA821U4LGALM is Silicon Rev 1.0.

The order able part number will differ depending on the exact device (e.g., speed grade=L?) that you're trying to order.  Refer to the data manual  Table 10-1. Nomenclature Description to determine what your part number should be.  The "closest" to the SR1.0 part that you are using would be DRA821U4LGBALM (or DRA821U4LGBALMQ1 for Auto temp).

    Regards,

    Kyle

  • Hi Kyle

Can the customer use SR2.0 as a compatible replacement without H/W modification on the previous board where SR1.0 was used?

Please check the compatibility btw SR1.0 and SR2.0. It seems No H/W changes would be required according to Silicon Errata.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Jack
