DRA74P: DRA742AHGABCRQ1: The HDMI output in the buffer model is not correct during simulations.

Part Number: DRA74P

Hi,

The IBIS model received for DRA74x series has issue with HDMI output Buffer Model.

The voltage received at receiver pin is in nano or micro volts. Even with a 100 Ohm termination the voltage levels are not better as tested using Hyperlynx Linesim.

From the IBIS model:

Could you verify the IBIS model and provide if there is any updated buffer model for HDMI simulations.

There is a case created: #CS1635313

Thank you in advance.

  • Pavan,

The IBIS model for HDMI has known issues, and is not recommended to be used.  Instead, the customer should follow the Layout guidelines in the device Data Manual.  The layout guidelines have been derived based on extensive simulation by TI, along with extensive validation and will lead to the best implementation for the customer.

    Regards,
