AM3359: CPSW Ethernet ALE Manipulation

Hello Ethernet Experts,

we have a AM3359 based device, which uses both CPSW Ethernet ports and is operating in swtich-mode. Port 1 is connected to the network, port 2 is connected to a fieldbus processor. Because the DHCP feature of the fieldbus device isn't fully functional, we are looking for a workaround. Is it possible, to receive DHCP Ethernet packages on the A8 host (port 0), which are addressed to the fielbus device? Let's say the host has 192.168.0.8 and the fieldbus device 192.168.0.15. Is it possible to manipulate the ALE, to receive the port 2 dedicated packages on port 0 as well? Some kind of hub mode?

One method is:

Add a multicast entry for MAC_0_2

Set member bits for port0 and port2 for MAC_0_2

Set vlan-id = VID_0_2 (port0 and port2 are member for this vlan-id). for example vlan id 2 in below

thank you for your example.
Is this possible in CPSW switch-mode too, or is this specific for the dual-mac-mode operation? Is the device on port 2 still visible for devices on port 1?

What software is running on the AM335x arm cores? (i.e., Linux SDK, TI_RTOS SDK) ?

We have a functionality called mirroring in HW. I am trying to find out related document. Please allow me some time for this.

question is which type of frame you want to mirror ?

it would be great if you provide a document describing a "mirroring in HW" function for the Linux SDK. Like I described in my first request, we are looking for DHCP telegrams (UDP).
