I want to know where the contents of "INIT: version 2.88 booting" are displayed in the booting message.

It is printed by the init process, which is the very first process running in Linux userspace.

If possible, can I know the name of the file where the above message is output?

No matter how much I search, I can't find the location of the source file to be printed.

Command 'ps 1' would tell which program is for the init process:

# ps 1
    PID TTY      STAT   TIME COMMAND
      1 ?        Ss     0:24 /sbin/init
