CODECOMPOSER: EK-TM4C123GXL Code Composer Blinky Build Error

Part Number: CODECOMPOSER
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EK-TM4C123GXL

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

Just getting back to my Tiva Launchpad on a new computer. I just installed Code Composer Studio and rebooted. Went to reinstall BLINKY that came with my launchpad to test all the tools out and I keep getting the same error over and over ... "

Cannot import project

The package needs to be installed locally to import projects. Would you like to install it now?"

I select Install and when done, I run again, but the same error comes back. I even tried rebooting after the install. Nothing is working.

Update:

I keep getting Build Errors on the Blinky Program. I am trying to reload it onto the board and until I can get it to build, I can't test anything else now. It's been years since I used this board and I do not have Blinky on it any longer. Can you please send me that project? I tried getting off the TI website but there are about 4 files and I'm not sure how to load them into the software, I E where is everything supposed to go ? Your help in this regard is appreciated. Here are some errors from an earlier attempt.

My Pack Installer show Compiler Versions updated and installed but as you see on my last email, the build doesn't see it as being there.

Regards,
CSC
  • Hello,

I just installed Code Composer Studio and rebooted

The screenshots are of Keil uVision and not CCS.

Can you confirm what IDE the customer is using?

    Thanks

  • Hello Ki,

    Good day.

I have tried both to get this project moving forward. I am now reverting to Code Composer. Please refer to my last emails for the help I need.
I am instructed, in the lab Manual for this board, to 'Import Project0" and simply swap out the main.c contents from the other projects from the Examples/Boards, but when I find that, it is a folder, or directory, not a single file, how do I import that project and open it in CC? I click on the Import Project option on the splash screen for CC; I take a browse of the directory it is in, under ek-tm4c123gxl, I see it there, now then what? It's a folder with several subfolders !! If I just click on the main folder, I get a box that returns with "Discovered Projects" and see a check box beside the project 0 but it is uncheckable and has a small red 'x' beside it. I'll send you a screenshot from the computer I am running it on.

That is likely because there already is a project of the same name in the workspace. You cannot have projects of the name in the same workspace or workspace folder. Note that this includes if a project information was removed from the workspace but the project folder still physically exists in the workspace folder.
