TDA4VH-Q1: Filtering and Decoupling power of unused interfaces

Part Number: TDA4VH-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA4VH

Hello,

DSPs have a lot of interfaces and they have their own power supply pins. When an interface is not used they still need to be powered, that's clear.

If the interface is not used does it still need power filtering and decoupling?

Otherwise the saved space on the PCB be can used to better decouple other power pins that are suppling active interfaces.

Example:

The TDA4VH has power pins for the UFS interface (AH11 and AJ10) each with filter and several capacitors (EVM Schematic 'PROC141' 'J784S4XG01EVM')

Powering these pins straight from the 'VDD_PHYCORE_0V8'/'VDA_PHY_1V8' would save space, cost and reduce complexity.

Other interface like DSI and CSI are also not used in our design.
