TMS320C6657: alternatives of Micron DDR3 SDRAM for TMS320C6657

Part Number: TMS320C6657

Hello team,

The Chinese government banned the procurement of Micron products. So the customer is looking for alternatives (Samsung, Winbond, ISSI, etc.) to DDR3 SDRAM from Micron.

In the customer product TMS320C6657CZHA is used and is connected to Micron's DDR3 SDRAM (MT41J64M16JT-125:G). The customer checked Winbond DDR3 SDRAM and compare as the following table.

The customer thinks that they can use Winbond DDR3 SDRAM, but they are not sure whether they should modify the software especially, they need to change the value of the Leveling register in the following attached file.
/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/791/KeyStone-DDR3-Initialization_2800_sprabl2_2900_.pdf

The customer believe that the the leveling register do not need to be changed from the current DSP software if DDR3 SDRAM with the same timing parameters is used as alternatives and the board pattern does not change, Is it wrong?

Your advice is appreciated.

Best Regards,
Akihisa Tamazaki
