TDA4VE-Q1: TDA4VE-Q1 IO voltage Question

Part Number: TDA4VE-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74AXC2T45

hi, all:

could you tell me how to set TDA4VE -- SERDES0xxxx/PCIE_REFCLK  IO voltage?

I want to set those pins voltage is 3.3V, because my computer is 3.3V. can I set some register value? it can set IO voltage is 3.3V? if yes, could you tell me which register can control those IO pins voltage.

or some power pin should connect 3.3V? if yes, could you tell me which power pin should connect 3.3V.

If we can not set in the chip, could you recommend level shift IC?  the data rate is 2.5G.

thanks so much.

  • Rocky,

As I know, the PCIe Ref clk voltage is based on 1.8V, which means that you need to have a level shifter for translating to 3.3V; maybe SN74AXC2T45 would work for operating at 100MHz.

  • PCIE_REFCLK is a differential output compliant with the PCI-SIG Refclk specifications. The specifications only allow single-ended swing up to ~1V, so I would not expect a PC to require a 3.3V clock. That would be out of spec.
