SK-AM69: Latest PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM69A 09.00.01.03 (12 Oct 2023) Fails Authentication

Part Number: SK-AM69

Unfortunately, both of the following SDKs (regular WIC images flashed to SD cards) fail on both our E3 SK-AM69 boards (regular HS-FS ones) while the previous version 08.06.01.03 (31 May 2023) still works fine:

    No, we are really talking about off-the-shelf hardware [1] and off-the-shelf images [2, 3]. We suspect that you did deploy GP boot-chain while those boards are really HS-FS. Also rather than deploying all different boot-chains like e.g. in the AM62 case those WIC images are missing anything else so it is not trivial to even fix this. I mean we are very well able to build our own Yocto Project images which do work just fine BUT those off-the-shelf images from TI, unfortunately, are no good at all, sorry.

    Thanks for reporting the issue the test was done of the E2 set of board , this issue was observed on the E3 boards

    Thanks! I tried to find out what exactly changed between E2 and E3 but did not quite find anything relevant. Are you saying E2 used GP chips while E3 uses HS-FS? However, the BOMs do not indicate any such change (e.g. according to those the exact same chips should be assembled).

    No both have the HS-FS sample only , we tried to reproduce the issue at our end but we end up with other issue where we are getting the crash in the kernel .

    But at least we are not seeing any authentication failure at our end.

    May i know which component is exactly failing.i am assuming it is failling for dtb.

    can you run below command

    Yes, debugging it further I found some strange corruption. So I took another brand new SD card and flashed it again (using the exact same bmap command-line). Now it suddenly boots just fine. Sorry, for the noise and thank you very much for your assistance.

    Next thing I plan on trying is booting off the eMMC.

    And then, off to the mailing list feeding back whatever I found when testing completely upstream boot-chain...
