TMS320C6416: Alternates for P/N TMS32C6416EGLZA5E0

Good morning,

We have received a PDN (20231117001.3) that states that P/N TMS32C6416EGLZA5E0 (among other P/Ns from family TMS320C6416) are in EOL with LTB date 30/03/2024.

PDN doesn't provide a replacement P/N, but I wanted to know which would be the closest alternate for P/N TMS32C6416EGLZA5E0.

I have found for example P/N TMS320C6416TBGLZA6. Both P/Ns have same number of SnPb balls and same temperature grade.

What is the main difference between device models 6416E (EOL device) and 6416TB?

Is there any other alternate?

Looking at the datasheets, the TMS32C6416 and TMS32C6416T appear to almost equivalent,. The primary difference is the technology note, 0.13um vs 0.09um. Note that there are also some electrical characteristic differences. The TMS32C6416T has additional PLL options.

However, I have no detailed data on the differences other than those listed in the datasheet and therefore cannot confirm they are functionally equivalent.

I have reached out internally to see if I can get more clarity.
