J721EXSOMXEVM: Quad Ethernet Ports not working - ports detected but " PING NOT Working"

On our EVM board , Quad Ethernet Ports expansion board is not fully functional.

All four eth ports are getting detected. But ping is failing. (updated uEnv.txt mentioning "k3-j721e-evm-quad-port-eth-exp.dtbo" as overlay)

In-built ehernet port( eth0) is working fine.Able to ping google, packet transaction is fine.

tried ping among 4 eth ports(et1 to eth4), and to other eth ports from other PC/device, but ping is not working.

Please find the logs attached. we tried with Yocto build , built command used. " MACHINE=j721e-evm  bitbake tisdk-default-image "

Please let know if any configuration needed or missing any further steps.

    Are you running Native Linux Driver for CPSW9G? which is not supported out of box TI SDK.
    You need follow some steps to bring up Native Linux Driver for CPSW9G, Can you please confirm have you followed steps mentioned in FAQ.

    Please find the logs attached. we tried with Yocto build , built command used. " MACHINE=j721e-evm  bitbake tisdk-default-image "

    Can you please share the logs of A72 Linux and MCU2_0 to check CPSW9G is brought up in Native Linux Driver or EthFw?

    Also, please share the details about the SDK version being used and steps followed for bring up CPSW9G.

    "k3-j721e-evm-quad-port-eth-exp.dtbo" got generated when built in Yocto. with below build steps.

    Built steps:
    $ ./oe-layertool-setup.sh -f configs/processor-sdk-linux/processor-sdk-linux-09_00_00_06.txt
    $ cd build
    $ . conf/setenv 
    $ MACHINE=j721e-evm  bitbake tisdk-default-image

    Later Updated below in uEnv.txt in SD card. And boooted with 4 eth ports detcted.

    From Serial Logs it seems like CPSW9G is configured in Native Linux Driver as well as EthFw. Both are handling the PHY.

    You supposed to use either of one only, can't use both at the same time.

    "k3-j721e-evm-quad-port-eth-exp.dtbo" got generated when built in Yocto

    When you are using above overlay, you should not use EthFw which is mapped to MCU2_0 (main_r5f0_0) softlink with ethfw binary.
    If you are using vision apps, vision binary of mcu2_0 is mapped (it also has ethfw).

    Can you please softlink IPC echo test to main_r5f0_0 core and check.

    you can also check by removing the below from uEnv.txt file and follow FAQ. for Virtual MAC Driver.

    ALL ports on TDA4 supports TSN functionality. 

    Ethfw doesn't support TSN features. You need to use Native Linux driver for TSN features. 

    Please refer to LINUX SDK Documentation for more details about TSN configuration & features.
