Hi All,

 

i was referring 1.2. Building the SDK with Yocto — Processor SDK Linux for AM335X Documentation in this they have mentioned 

./oe-layertool-setup.sh -f configs/processor-sdk/<oeconfig-file> which oe-config file that we need to update?

is it processor-sdk-09.01.00-am65xx-config.txt or processor-sdk-09.01.00-config.txt or processor-sdk-09.01.00-legacy-config.txt

As it was mentioned 09_01_00_001 i have used processor-sdk-09.01.00-legacy-config.txt(when i open file i saw this meta-processor-sdk,git.ti.com/.../meta-processor-sdk.git,kirkstone,09.01.00.001,layers=)

please correct me if i am wrong.

    actually the layer config file to use is on the page you linked, but unfortunately it is easy to miss. What you need to do is to click on this hyperlink:

    As you suggested i have gone through the link which you have provided and observed that it is supported to am335x-evm,am335x-evm i hope it will support am335x-evmsk

    we tried to install sudo apt install repo(as mentioned in steps which i have attached) how to resolve this.. is it a mandatory for further build process? can we continue without that.

    Yes the AM335x SK board (amongst other AM335x boards like the BeagleBoard Black) are all supported through the same MACHINE=am335x-evm build variable specification. This is done by way of DTB files, for example am335x-evmsk.dtb in case of the AM335x SK board.

    Try building without installing it, it may or may not be needed in all cases and/or what you are doing.

    Also, `repo` is a standard package on Ubuntu 22.04, which is the recommended distro to be used for AM335x SDK v9.1. If you are using something else I'd strongly consider switching to Ubuntu 22.04.

    Hello Andreas,

    My machine was initally umask as 0027 as i was getting oe-build failed error.

    later i fixed by changing umask 0002 and build continues and

    i am getting below  error,

    From the logs it looks like you have some serious setup issues there with your system, not sure how you ended up with all that. At this point I recommend you to backup any important files, and then completely erase(!)/re-install Ubuntu 22.04, setup the SDK from scratch, and then it should all work.

    I'd suggest to just let the build finish, and then re-start it. With this fetch error it won't complete successfully but often such issues are transient, and just re-starting the build helps.

    Also I'd highly recommend to keep a permanent archive of your downloads folder (which can also be shared amongst projects, and even developers), so that in the future you minimize any external build dependencies (and it'll be faster too).

    in building 8.2.0.24 we have downloaded tool chain sepeartly.. in new version we are not doing that. hence i am asking

    need to check what are the changes is done from 8.2.0.24 to 9.1.0.001

    Just follow the Yocto build instructions if you want to do a Yocto build for a given SDK version. For other differences, those should be documented in the release notes section of the SDK User Guide,.
