EVMK2EX: EVMK2E board boot up with SATA HDD or USB

Hi, all

Now our team use EVMK2E board normally with default flash setting (U-boot on NOR Flash, others(file system, kernel...) on NAND Flash),

We know EVMK2E support SATA driver and want to put others(file system, kernel...) to HDD with SATA or USB.

Anyone know the procedure to support Linux boot up form HDD or USB? and how to format HDD or USB to support?

Or any document for reference?

When you say Linux boot up from HDD, we have an option to boot Linux using the NTFS filesystem sitting on the host-server machine and boot the EVM via "tftp".

please follow the steps given here.

But, there is no such thing exist in the present processor SDK 6.3 to boot the Linux sitting on HDD connected via USB to the EVMK2E.

Customer may have to adapt.

Maybe I don't have clear description.

I mean that boot Linux on HDD connected via SATA interface.

Or boot Linux on USB storage.

I see some introduction about using USB storage for Kernel and filesystem on TI website.

But I don't see too much detail procedure.

Do you have idea about HDD or USB storage for Kernel and filesystem?

Additionally I have attached another document with few more details on booting linux from USB flash drive.
