Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS6142
Hi,
Today we use analog converted ADS6142 and the DSP TMS320C6746EZCEA3.
The ADC is sampling 10Mhz signal and have parallel output. The DSP has uPP block which is parallel port that fits the ADC.
There is a request to upgrade the DSP processor so that it could make some more calculations.
Searching for an alternative DSP I thought of using the Keystone2 processor 66AK2G12ABYT100 which is in use in our company in another project.
My question is: Can the 66AK2G12ABYT100 support high speed ADC ither by the MCASP or the GPMC but the reading from the bus will be by DMA so that the DSP software will not need to spend most of its time on accessing the bus ?
If yes, then how you suggest having the architecture and connections?
If not, what other DSP you can recommend having for this task which is similar to the TMS320C6746EZCEA3 and need no external memory?
Thanks,
Avner
