We're trying to connect LVDS display to TMDSIDK5729 board.
We haven't pushed the Power On button, yet the board is powered when the display is connected.
The display has its own power supply.
Is this normal behavior?

Hello Sheryll,
Exactly how are you connecting to the board? Are you using J16?
What is the the display model you are using?
In short, this is not expected behavior.
Best,
-Josue
We're using J17.
Display model is MTF121WX04A-V1 from MicroTech.
We disconnected the display's power supply which is connected via USB to an external laptop.
This stopped the issue from happening.
Is this the correct action or is there a better one?
Hello Sheryll,
So your screen is only connected via the touchscreen controller? (J17)
This is not an issue that is expected so we do not have suggestion on an alternative.
Does your system work with this work-around of unplugging the screen?
Otherwise, this seems like it could be some kind of power glitch that would need further investigation.
Best,
Josue
