TMDX654IDKEVM: TMDX654IDKEVM kernel panic and unhandled exception EL2

If you decode the EL3 exception syndrome register (ESR) you can see that the error is of type "Abort caused by reading from memory" and "Synchronous External abort, not on translation table walk or hardware update of translation table.". And the related link register points to the kernel space. So looks like something inside the kernel was accessing invalid memory perhaps.

Looks like you are using an older SDK v7.x image? Does this happen "out of the box", without you having made any modifications to the SDK image?

Thank you for your reply.

I was using the ProfinetTester image from the Profibus Organisation. It was running at the beginning for a while. Then unfortunately this happend.

There are no modifications on the SDK.

Now as you suggested I tried the v9.1 image and getting this:

Ok, so you have the original TI EVM and you are running the TI SDK images, and it doesn't boot. And it used to work it seems. Sounds like some HW issue to me.

1. Do you have another board you can try?
   
   
2. Can you try using a different/stronger power supply?

No, I have only this board.

I tried also a stronger power supply.The same issue.

Ok, then please get/buy a new board. There's nothing we can do in software to fix what seems to be a broken board.
