SK-TDA4VM: Support Request for SK-TDA4VM platform

Part Number: SK-TDA4VM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA4VM

Dear Texas Instruments Team,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Andrew.

My team is working on a custom hardware platform utilizing the TDA4VM processor, we've conducted two years of R&D, adapted our NN algorithms to TIDL and ARMv8

we seek closer collaboration with TI as we prepare to launch our inaugural product. specifically, we require support in the following areas:

  • Software drivers
  • Secure boot implementation
  • Access to TIDL and OpenVX libraries and firmware
  • Assistance with model conversion and inference

I reached out with TI CSM chat, they referred me to the E2E portal for further support,

OpenVX:

I've located the OpenVX API header files on github, however are there more OpenVX libraries your team could assist us with?

TIDL:

Is your team able to provide the TIDL libraries or source we could use for further integration with the TDA4VM platform? We are open to signing an NDA if necessary.

Secure Boot:

Would your team be able to assist us with a Secure Boot implementation?

We are working to finalize our prototype as soon as possible so we may move to production.

In return, we are eager to contribute the following to the Texas Instruments community:

  • Detailed test results
  • Bugfixes/feature patches for the TI SDK, including firmware for R5F/C66/C71, TIDL, and OpenVX libraries, as well as any relevant Linux kernel drivers
  • Support for additional devices
  • Linux kernel drivers tailored to our custom board

Thank you for considering our request. We look forward to your positive response and the opportunity to work more closely with Texas Instruments!

  • Hello Andrew,

Thank you for reaching out on e2e.

I would like to inform you on how the e2e works.

Typically each e2e thread focuses on one domain issue by a domain expert.

In this thread, I see that you have queries regarding OpenVX, TIDL and Secure Boot (3 main domains)

Hence to get a faster response on the same, I would suggest you start 3 threads with specific issues mentioned so get a faster response from the experts.

    Regards,

    Nikhil

  • I deal with OpenVX related queries, so let us take that up in this thread.

Please create separate threads for TIDL and Secure boot, so that both could go parallelly by the respective experts.

    Regards,

    Nikhil

  • OpenVX:

I've located the OpenVX API header files on github, however are there more OpenVX libraries your team could assist us with?

I see that you are using an SK Board, so you must be using our EdgeAI SDK right?

If yes, then the applications are usually run in gstreamer for these cases.

If you would like to use OpenVX, I suggest you use Linux + RTOS SDK on the EVM if that is feasible at your end. You could get many OpenVX libraries there.

    Regards,

    Nikhil

  • Hi Nikhil! Thank you for the information, my apologies for combining these topics. If I may mention another request briefly; I was informed that some of the resources we request necessitate a CDDS account, would it be possible to have a local FAE's contact information so we may proceed with signing an NDA? We are located in the U.S. east coast. From what I understand we need to request an NDA from a local FAE who will create the account for us.

I greatly appreciate your help with this! Thank you!

  • Sure Andrew,

Let me loop in our Industrial Apps Manager for Jacinto, who would be able to guide in this aspect.

    Regards,

    Nikhil

  • Hello Andrew,

Thanks for the inquiry. The above-requested query is beyond the scope of E2E support. We suggest contacting the TI customer support center (https://www.ti.com/info/customer-support.html) for further support.

    Thanks.
