J784S4XEVM: Not able to ping or connect SCP after qnx setup on board

Hello TI Experts,

We have ported QNX to J784S4XEVM board. After this I am not able to ping or initiate SSH connection for this board.

I have tried to run command ifconfig but could not see any IP address for this device. I could only see 127.0.0.1 loopback address for this device.

Can you please guide us how to setup IP Address for the board and connect it over SSH for file transfer?

Please contact QNX/Blackberry for support on SCP / SSH.

In regards to 'ping' would require more information to provide any support:

Which PSDK QNX release is being used?
What steps have been followed?
What error logs are being seen on console and slog2info
Have you tried running the ethernet driver in verbose mode

Thanks for your response.

1. We followed the steps mentioned here: 5. PSDK QNX Components — Processor SDK QNX J784S4 (ti.com)

It resolve the ping issue. Now we are able to ping the board.

2. SSH setup is also resolve by following: https://www.qnx.com/developers/docs/8.0/com.qnx.doc.neutrino.utilities/topic/s/sshd.html

3. I see after following steps suggested by you, Ethernet port is up and can be seen by ipconfig. but it is removed on next power cycle. Do you see any permanent solution here? Can we create a script which executes these commands on startup? So We can see Ethernet port for all power cycles. Is it suggested way?

You can add the commands to start the network driver to the "user.sh" file is present in the SDcard's "qnxfs" partition in the path /scripts/user.sh
