AM69A: Does AM69A Support SIL2 and MCAL & SDL Certifications

Hi TI Experts,

As we know that for TDA4VH, we support ASILD, SIL3, MCAL drivers & SDL certifications. And we also know that AM69A is pin to pin compatible with TDA4VH.

However, as we could see from the ti.com AM69x page, and also inside its datasheet, there is no description about the function safety at all.

Hence may I know, does AM69A also support SIL2 and MCAL & SDL certifications?

Customer's requirement is to use Robotics SDK and also support SIL2, and we already discussed in the below thread that we suggest customer to use Robotics SDK on AM69A, so we need to know whether or not AM69A support SIL2, if yes why we did not mention it in the data sheet?

Hi Kevin,

I have confirmation from the internal team stating that AM69 and TDA4VH are the same SoC. We validate our SDK using both the TDA4VH and the AM69. Hence we support SIL3 certification on AM69 as well.

How about the SDL & FMEDA certification from the TUV authority for AM69A? I did not find the report on our website.

Hi Kevin,

The TDA4VH SDL and FMEDA would be applicable to AM69 as well as they are the same SoC.
