TMS320C6727B: CCS 12.7 and DSP/BIOS 5.20?

Tool/software:

I'm trying to update a project developed for the C6727 DSP. It was last built with CCS 6 and DSP/BIOS 5.20.

I was able to import the project into CCS 12.7, but am having trouble installing the BIOS package. When I add the installation directory to the Product Discovery Path, nothing is found to install.

I've confirmed I can install the newer version 5.48, and I can install 5.20 in CC6. 

Was support for this version in CCS dropped at some point?

    Actually, DSP/BIOS 5.2x was never really officially supported with CCS versions 4 and higher. We always recommended you use at least DSP/BIOS 5.4x, which was the version that had the necessary hooks to properly work with the CCS Eclipse IDE that CCSv4-v12 was based on. Any earlier versions of DSP/BIOS was more along the lines of "use as your own risk" and even then, I believe only build support ever really worked.

    If you need to use DSP/BIOS 5.2x, then I recommend using the environment where you last had it working.
