AM4378: AM4378:AM4378 SDK (v08 vs v09) difference (Record ID) information

Part Number: AM4378

Tool/software:

Hi,Expers

My customer is using TISDK v7.0.3 on a custom board.
I am unable to understand from the release notes whether or not the specific Record IDs listed in the following v08 and v09 release notes need to be addressed in the TISDK v7.0.3 that he is using.

Q1:
Could you please explain in detail the specific procedure of occurrence and the symptoms in case of occurrence?

Q2:
Regarding LCPD-12226, you mention first (first write), is it meant to be the first write at startup or the first write in each file?

Q3:
How much will the performance of Q2 above degrade?

  • Hi Hidekazu-san,

LCPD-12405: this issue was observed in SDK5.3. It is no longer exist in SDK7.x.

LCPD-9923: this issue was due to EVM limitation, not applicable to the AM437x device itself.

LCPD-12226: this issue was observed in SDK5.0, it was an invalid a testcase.

LCPD-24820: this was due to a test script bug, not about the SDK.

LCPD-29650: this issue is SDK8.x kernel specific, I believe the issue is not in SDK7.x kernel.
