cannot change h264 parameters with DM368

Hello all,

I have a TMDXEVM368 board and the SDK with this board.

I want to encode the YUV file to H.264 stream.

I know the way using the application "video_encode_io1_dm368.x470MV"

included the SDK,

but cannot change the parameters, as example below:

--stream with B-picture,

--baseline profile, main profile, high profile,

--CAVLC or CABAC

Please show me the way.

Hi,

The SDK demos are generally uses base params whcih does not expose all the codec params, For the paramerts which you wantg to change, you should use extended params. Below post may be useful.

Also, B frames are not supported in DM36x codecs.

Could you show me the path of these files?

(my SDK version is ti-dvsdk_dm368-evm_4_02_00_06)

By the way, I read the forum as you wrote in URL.

but I don't understand the source code too.

You can find the static and runtime extended parameters for H.264 encoder in the header file (ti\sdo\codecs\h264enc\apps\inc\ih264venc.h)

The user guide has explanation for all the extended encoder parameters (ti\sdo\codecs\h264enc\docs\h264_encoder_dm365_userguide.pdf)
