AM4378: Cannot output image data to HDMI display

Hi All,

My customer is unable to output image data to an HDMI display via AM4378 and TFP410 HDMI transmitter.

Is there any reference material that can help us?
If you have any information on how to set up the device tree, drivers, etc.

The situation is as follows.
・Communication with TFP410 is working via AM4378 and I2C communication.
・HDMI display is connected to TFP410 via HDMI connector, HTPLG of TFP410 is Hi, and TFP410 seems to be detecting the display.
・Possibly the DSS of the MPU is not working from AM4378 (IDCK+, VSYNC, HSYNC, and DE signals are always Low).

Hi ito,

Unfortunately, none of the AM437x boards we tested have the TFP410 transmitter and we use the SII9022A. My recommendation would be see other reference dts files that use the TFP410. Based on quick search in the DTS folder, I see omap3-beagle.dts and omap4-panda-common.dtsi use TFP410.

I can't find the DTS file, can you give me the URL?
Please let me know if there is a DTS that describes how to do HDMI output from AM437.

Hello Ito,

In your Linux SDK, go to board-support/linux-x.x.x/arch/arm/boot/dts

You can search using a command like this:
$ grep -r TFP410
