Hello,

We have Query regarding AM62A Processor (A3 & A7 Series), Would like to know more about the functionality of Rotation and High Light Compensation (HLC). How can we achieve these features?

Hello Hardik,

Rotation can be done by the Lens Distortion Correction (LDC) module of the AM62A ISP.

There is no dedicated HLC block on the ISP, but the Global Local Brightness Contrast Enhancement (GLBCE) module can do WDR tone mapping and provide good HLC.

thanks for the update.

Could you help with sharing the Application note which is help to understand the how the rotation will be done using LDC module.

Please provide the application note which is help to understand the HLC functionality. and its performance details. If possible.

Also provide the API document for the rotation as well as HLC functionality.

Hi Shailesh,

We don't have any specific performance details about the HLC. Please give us a few days to produce a simple app note regarding image rotation.

Sure, I want to rotate the scene mainly 0,90,180 and 270 degree.

OK, you need to do simple flipping and mirroring operations which LDC can support.
To be clear, LDC works on YUV images after VISS converting raw sensor images to YUV.

What is your target YUV color format and resolution?

We don't have dedicated HLC H/W in VPAC-VISS.

We only have a GLBCE H/W IP block in VISS for HDR tone mapping.
Please refer to AM62A TRM VPAC-VISS-GLBCE section for more details.
