AM69: U-boot UMS/fastboot not working with ti-u-boot-2024.04 tag ‘10.01.03’

Part Number: AM69
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA4VH

Tool/software:

Hello TI Experts,

We are using custom hardware based on the TI AM69 platform and have previously encountered issues with U-Boot UMS and Fastboot support.

Related discussion can be found on the TI forum: https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1376907/am69-usb0-gadget-not-working-with-some-protocols-in-u-boot

It appears that the ti-u-boot-2024.04 tag ‘10.01.03’ now includes support for UMS/Fastboot on AM69 (referenced here: https://sir.ext.ti.com/jira/browse/EXT_EP-11186). However, with the latest U-Boot tag 10.01.03, UMS and Fastboot do not seem to function on the AM69-SK board. I tested this using both the j784s4_evm_r5_defconfig + j784s4_evm_a72_defconfig and am69_sk_r5_defconfig + am69_sk_a72_defconfig with additional Fastboot support configurations, but UMS and Fastboot remain non-functional in U-Boot.

This issue persists on our custom hardware, even after updating to ti-u-boot-2024.04 tag ‘10.01.03’. No mass-storage or Fastboot devices are detected when attempting to enable UMS/Fastboot from U-Boot commands on either the AM69 SK board or our custom hardware. Attached are the relevant logs for reference.

Could you please confirm if U-Boot UMS and Fastboot have been tested and verified on AM69-based devices with the ti-u-boot-2024.04 tag '10.01.03'? Should these features be fully functional with this update?

Thank you.
